about
Taylor Finlay has been a visual artist and filmmaker from a very early age. As a professional actor he developed a keen sense of theatricalism and storytelling.
Taylor's work as a visual artist has been shown in galleries throughout New York's capital district, at collegiate galleries, and he even has a piece hanging in the National Dance Institute permanent gallery commissioned by Jacques D'amboise himself. His early work in the visual arts continues to inspire and inform his current work in film and photography.
Taylor's love for the visual arts coupled with his instilled sense of theatrical storytelling create a unique approach to filmmaking. He took this unique approach and expanded his techniques and skills during his time at the University of Rhode Island School of Communication and Media and has graduated with a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences in Film/Media.
He currently is finding work as a Director of Photography, 1st Assistant Camera, Camera Op and Photographer on a wide range of projects from music videos to documentaries and commercials to short films. For Taylor, film and photography is not a job it's who he is.
